Text and Filter Assignment
Create a poster or Magazine cover with an image or images that makes use of what we covered on filters. In addition, use the text tool to create type with a clipping path that contains an image within the body of the letters, use the warp tool on some text, and use drop shadows or other effects to enhance the readability of the text. Post the finished result to your blog.

for the assignment, take a series of images using continuous focusing and experiment with fast moving objects to keep them in focus. Examples would be sports or traffic.
For the exposure element of the assignment, use spot metering to get a more accurate exposure with subjects in difficult lighting situations such as theatrical and concert lighting.

Layer Masking
lens assingment
Shoot a series of shots using the wide angle and the telephoto focal lengths of your lens. Your subject should be a portrait and you should frame the portrait as a "head and shoulders" type of shot. Keep the same ratio of head size in the frame in the wide and telephoto shots. Also shoot inside in low light with your aperture wide open and a low ISO such as 100 or 200 and then switch to 1600 to examine the difference in shutter speed.
